Devon Sportshall Athletics
JUMPING FOR JOY…
Bovey Tracey Primary School’s Athletics team were jumping for
joy after reaching the Devon County U11 Sports Hall Athletics

The Year 3/4 team took part in the
re-arranged Partnership Finals on a very cold morning at
Stover School, where they came up against the hosts in the
very first game.This game finished 0-0, and
whilst Stover went on to win overall, Bovey dropped a few
points to finish 4th in their group and then 7th overall.
It was a
great display by all the children who rotated around the
positions on the court and played some outstanding netball.

Tag Rugby Years 3, 4, 5 & 6 took part in a Tag Rugby Tournament at
Kingsteignton organised by the School Sport Partnership and
Newton Abbot RFC. About 450 children took part. One Year
3/4 team took part in the competitive competition. They
played 8 games and came 4th
overall out of 5 teams. The other Year 3/4 team took
part in the friendly competition. They played 5 games,
won 4 and lost 1. Out of 12 teams they finished 4th
overall. They were awarded the Spirit of the Games
certificate for great sportsmanship, voted for by the other
competitors. The Year 5/6 team took part in the
competitive competition with 9 other teams. They played
4 games, won 3 and drew 1. They lost in the final and
overall. They have qualified for the Devon County Tag
Rugby Finals to play the top 2 teams from other Sport
Partnerships in June 2016.
Cross Country Years 3 - 6 Cross
Country, Stover School; Wednesday 23rd September, 2015. Out of a total of 400 children from 18
different schools, 60 of our own children took part.
The Year 3/4 team won the School Sport Partnership trophy
with the Year 5/6 team coming 2nd overall.
